Two senior Manchester United players were saperat during a fight that brought a training session to a premature end on Thursday, according to a report.
Players who are said to have been used to bust-ups were stunned by the incident in the first United training session since their humiliating 4-0 Premier League mauling at Brighton, The Sun has claimed.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick reportedly saw the scrap and then granted more time off to United’s players, who are said to have had four days to recover from the dismal defeat at the Amex Stadium on Saturday
Tempers ‘boiled over’ as a result of a dismal season, training and a disconnection between the players and Rangnick, the report said.
Tactician Rangnick was appointed United boss following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November but has been unable to rescue his side’s season.
United have lost three of their last five games by an aggregate score of 11-1, shipping three goals at Arsenal and four at Liverpool before their hammering at Brighton.
The former Champions League winners could be in the Europa Conference League next season if seventh-placed West Ham overhaul them in their final two games of the campaign.
