The Atlas Lions struck in the 42nd minute via a Youssef En-Nesyri header and were able to hold on to their lead despite a late red card to Walid Cheddira.

And fans of the team in the Big Apple were ecstatic with the result, lighting flares and celebrating in the streets after the match.

The supporters sung songs as well as they commemorated the improbable win in the Astoria, Queens section of the city.
